STEEL IND.
Lime isused asa fluxingagent in electric arc furnaces and basic oxygen furnaces. Lime removes impurities (for example, silica, phosphorus, sulfur) from the steel beingmanufactured.
SUGAR IND.
Hydrated lime (Calcium Hydroxide) is vital to the production of sugar from both sugar cane and sugar beets. Primarily used in the sugar industry for pH correction, it's also used to remove impurities and colour from the sugar solution duringsugar refining.
LEATHER IND.
Liming is one of the main steps carried out during leather production in the tannery. The main purpose of liming isto separate the hair from the hides.
WATER TREATMENT PLANT
Lime is used for both drinking water treatment and waste water treatment. Almost all Municipal Corporation or industrial waste water treatments plants, are using lime to neutralized its bad effect.
PAPER IND.
Used as coagulant, Quick Lime aids in manufacture of sheet with grass and waste paper. Hydrated Lime isused for bleaching the same.
CHEMICAL IND.
Hydrated Lime is used in the manufacturing of : Bleaching Powder, Di calcium phosphate, propionate calcium citrate and calcium chloride etc.
ROAD BUILDING
Hydrated Lime can be used as an additive to hot mix asphalt used for road surfacing as it increase the resistance of the asphalt to water stripping, allowing it to maintain strength.
